It's going to take me a while to be able to enjoy spending time with my parents again. If you think they pissed me off this past year, this was nothing compared to my childhood and teenage years. I've discovered notes and personal journal type stuff where they hope/think that I don't remember certain things that happened or that they did (or I did)...but I do. I know my father harbors a certain amount of guilt, my mother is an enigma, as always. She reminds me of Marge Simpson the way she will just smile and pretend something inconvenient doesn't exist, without missing an external beat. To some extent I don't blame them because they didn't always know what to do.

Things may change in the future, but right now my feelings towards my parents are pretty complex.

Although those notes look like exactly something my mother would write. I didn't cry, but that video tugged at my heartstrings. A little.
