Amazingly enough, my flight out to Chicago still appears to be on time. But I'm certain that US Scareways will still find a way to screw things up.

Anyway, let's hope that they don't ever have this unfortunate kind of in-flight programming on the flight:

Direct link.

I can only wonder what JetBlue was thinking!

Edit: The video that was being shown can be seen here:

I get a kick out of the idea of watching an air disaster film on a flight. :)

I may just do so next time I fly. I haven't seen a good air disaster film in a while...

I caught up on the last episodes of Season 3 of Lost while flying over the Pacific into LAX last May. OK, so I started from Taipei instead of Sydney, but close enough.

In the words of Larry the Cable Guy... "I don't care who you are... That's funny right there."

Your first mistake...

was putting "JetBlue" and "thinking" together. They don't get PAID enough to THINK! They don't even get paid enough to pick shows and movies in advance! They'll just hot-glue a DirecTV dish to the back of the plane!

The best thing is when the pilot on the little screenis going "WAUGH!" and the audio is a baby in another seat making squeaky little noises

I don't recognize the film. But oh, yeah, poor choice of film there.

...what in god's name made them run an air disaster moving on a FLIGHT?

(What was the movie, anyway?)

I don't believe they ran it on the flight, I believe the passenger tuned to it on the in-flight DirecTV.

Doh!

I don't know if it's available yet, but maybe the person hooked up their iPod to the display (http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2006/nov/14ipod.html).

If I recall, it was Jetblue we took on our flight to Anthrocon this year.

On the Sat tv, I flipped around to Comedy Central, and they were, right at that very moment we were taking off, starting to show Airplane!

So, I totally watched Airplane... while flying on an airplane. ^.^

I can't believe they would show that...
