It finally happened. Something Awful linked to my site as the "awful site of the day". (As of this writing, it's at the bottom of the main page of their site) Amazing. It only took them, what, 5 YEARS to notice my website? Outstanding job. They are truely on the cutting edge.

I just got back from being out of town for a few days. I'll make a journal entry about the trip sometime later.

It's funny that they noticed you AFTER you made your front page more greggil-safe.

Glad you have a sense of humor about it. I have to admit: I laughed out loud at their decryption of your furry code.

in Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde wrote, "There is no such thing as a moral or immoral book. Books are well written, or badly written. That is all." I try to remember that when considering "offensive" humor, such as this.

Welcome back! *hugs*

Keep existing and being yourself, Giza! It pisses 'em off so much.

Hmmm, I think you're giving them exactly the correct reaction -- very little. I know, I've been known to get all Don Quixote on people who really believe "furry = lame," but in this case I actually, truly believe Lowtax is maybe</i. ten percent serious. "Enjoy humping cat scratching posts!?" "Criminally sexual deviants?!" The fact that Lowtax is playing at having a sense of morality is a complete giveaway. :) I think he's pushing to see whether he can still get a rise out of furries with patently ridiculous accusations. No threat rating, and much respect for keeping your cool...

"Something Awful" writers tend to verbalism. Often, it seems
as though their subject isn't as important as the words/phrases they employ in writing about it.

I wouldn't take anything they write too seriously, I know I
don't.

I think for next year's AC you should hold a forum for all the various furries who have had websites assulted by the SA goons as a support/"laugh at these pathetic" internet bullies.
Then make T-shirts that say "I was an awful link of the day with a giant anthro character on them.
:)
