Weekend

I had a pretty busy weekend. Spent most of it working on Anthrocon stuff, actually. It was a split between working on registration and badge printer stuff for Anthrocon 2008, and building a pre-reg system for Anthrocon 2009. (Incidentally, if you are programmer/sysadmin type and would like to help with banging on the pre-reg system, please let me know!)

Then I wrapped up the weekend playing some Super Mario Galaxy. It's a fun little game, and I consider it an acceptable apology for the insanity that was Mario 64.

Also, Marcon is just around the corner! It will be held this weekend at the Hyatt Regency in Columbus, Ohio, and I'll be working there in the art show. Anyone else going?

Finally, I managed to tear myself away from the computer the other day and watched the latest Incredible Hulk movie:

Mario 64 was hard as balls and very frustrating, especially with the camera control. Mario Galaxy fixes that.

To horribly mis-quote the movie... "I'm a coder; I can code *stagger*"

Actually, I've been looking around for something to kick-start my code-outside-of-work activities. What'cha need? I'm good with HTML/CSS/Javascript/c#/ASP... and can learn just about anything within a few weeks. ^_^ Drop me a line.

PHP, MySQL, and Drupal, with a bit of jQuery and CSS thrown in.

At this point, I'm looking for folks to help bang on the registration system after the 2008 convention from the user end. I'm okay on the coding end for now.

Ahso... I can do that too ^_^ Especially all the evil little sql/code injection nastiness that your 'average user' won't. Toss me an IM whenever you want it to crash :P

Actually, Drupal's database abstraction layer (http://api.drupal.org/api/group/database/5) handles proper escaping of data in SQL queries.

Nice. I've heard only the barest of info about Drupal... all of it good that I can remember... I guess it's time for a bit of research.
