It probably won't count in the statistics but I'm sure 3.0 will hit ftp.us.debian.org soon. Too bad Mozilla thinks that Linux only runs in i386...I have copies for amd64 and ARM.

Yeah, I have problems with it sometimes Because it has issues on xp 64 (CPU utilization runs very high sometimes randomly). The only solution is to use something called Minefield, but that has plugin issues.

Perhaps the new version will work a bit better.

Version 3 no workie on Windows 98 (unlike 2), and since I am stuck with 98 at work, I'm sticking with 2.

It's not supposed to. Installers for Windows 95, 98, 98SE, and ME are no longer supported by Mozilla for Firefox starting with Firefox 3. The only way around it that I've heard about is to use an Ubuntu Live CD with a copy on it so it won't affect the OS.

Heh. The server load was so great, it broke mozilla in places! And yet most links to FF3 on the pages that do work (including the manual update) point to version 2. This probably isn't intentional. I was gonna go check to see if a new RC was out.

Thanks, I signed up and did that already the day it was out. It looks very much the same as 2.x with maybe a more refined interface. I didn't have much time to play with it before vacation!
