So, I was chatting with Loki ([livejournal.com profile] joshvon) a little upset because I had seen some folks whining about Anthrocon. It had gotten on my nerves a little. So Loki gave this URL to me:

http://www.werewolves.org/~two/Rants/2rant-FC2003.mp3

...and I promptly laughed my ass off, and began feeling better!

why would anyone have a complaint about AC? Granted...the elevators were our own fault :p. But still.

You must be new to the fandom. ;-)

I shall refer you to [livejournal.com profile] xydexx's post about cool furries and big complainers (http://www.livejournal.com/users/xydexx/85942.html). Please read it thoroughly, there will be a quiz on it in class tomorrow.

It was my first fur con, and the only person I kinda knew there was my roomy, and the very few other folks I knew from online. But I tried to have fun anyways. The pannels etc were helpfull. Otherwise I woulda felt like an outcast.

I'm the kinda person that needs someone that actively looks for people to talk to :P, cause I just kinda sit there and wonder why I'm anywhere more often than not. And I hate being sad and lonely :P. So yeah, I gotta try and meet more motivated people I guess.

Whaaa.

AC was an allright con. I won't complain about it, but honestly, for the kind of things that I go to a con for, it's just not the best one. That doesn't mean I didn't have a good time. You take the good with the bad, that's how anything works. I still managed (partly I'm sure because I had NO plans whatsoever this time) to meet up with some really good friends, and make some new ones. And have a great time at this thing. Bonus.
But some people just have to whine about something. That's just how they are. You can have the best con in the world, and someone will come away from it bitching. IT's just how the world works I guess. *laughs*

I listened to about half of that mp3 and then shut it off. I mean... the guy just didn't know when to stop with the simile action.

Anyway.... AC was great this year. Really great. The only thing that desperately needs work is the Art Show application process and etc. etc. and how that whole thing went down, etc. Other than that.... best AC ever. :D

This was my first AnthroCon, and I must say I had little to no complaints. Nothing really stood out and bugged me, not even the elevators.

Giza, you and the rest of the AC staff did a good job, and it was a treat to finally meet you in person. Stay good, and I hope to see you again!

No matter where you go or what Con you deal with, there will ALWAYS bee someone bitching about it. In fact there will be a large number of people who found something they didn't like.

Many of these, not all of them, but many of these are people who were "bored", because they couldn't find anything to do. :P

Most often these are people who go to Cons thinking they are going to be totally entertained by just standing there like numbwits. :P
