This is one of the coolest campaigns I've seen come along in awhile. Sean Tevis is running for State Representative in Kansas, and is has an XKCD style comic that explains what he is doing and why.

The rest of the comic can be found here.

The two issues that made me take the most note him are his interest in turning around Kansas schools and adding transparency to the government. I believe that both are good investments in the future and will ultimately help the state as well as society in general.

I've added his weblog to my RSS reader and intend to check back and see how he's doing in the future.

Great.

Since this is Kansas, it's not a matter of whether he wins or not, but whether he is burned at the stake for being a heretic.

This would be awesome if he was running in, say, Silicon Valley.

Hey, anyone willing to make an xkcd-style comic would get my vote. Shame I'm not American, though.

Cute.

Does his blog say anything about the bad math in the comic? 3000 donors of $8.34 is still about a thousand dollars short of the stated $26,000 goal.

But will you contribute to his campaign?

Yea, I'm thinking it's worth $8.34 to help make internet history :)

I saw him through another venue. His site has been up for about 1 day, and he's halfway to his goal.

I hovered my mouse over the image in expection of a witty alt text with a punchline, but there was none! D:

I'd make a donation if I was a US citizen.

I pretty much never donate to political candidates, but I sent him $25, if only because I REALLY hate Kansas republicans, and am really hoping someone above the evolutionary level of an amoeba could some time take over the controls there.
