Heh. UPSes are definitely my friend.
Other than that, I broke my bank's ATM machine today. I went to make a deposit, and the door on the machine slid open halfway, then it closed again. Then it opened halfway, and closed, and opened and closed a few more times. Finally the machine gave up, spit my card back out, and said "out of service".
Since the bank was still open, I went inside to make the deposit, and told them about the machine. So the head teller dude rebooted the ATM (hee!), but it still had the error after a reboot. His analysis was, "I guess we won't get any revenue this weekend". Oh well, not MY problem. :-)

Date: 2003-08-31 09:48 am (UTC)See, I don't think the head teller dude at the bank likes me very much. I once deposited a check through him, and he told me to write my account number on the back of the check. When I asked why, he said, "in case we lose your deposit slip or something". I then foolishy asked, "do you lose them often?". He did NOT like that. :-)
So, for some reason, I have the urge to let the machine eat my money sometime just so I can annoy him again. :-)
