gizaThis past weekend I drove out to Bumfuck Millersville where I visited Istas Puma, who is attending college out there. It was one of those nice weekends where we didn't do much other than hang out, chat, and watch Newgrounds movies and DVDs.
I showed Istas a couple of movies that he hadn't seen before, namely Spies Like Us and One Hour Photo, both of which were picked up from a local Blockbuster Video. The One Hour Photo DVD has some nice extras on it, like showing how some of the scenes were created and some of the tricks that were done to make the supermarket seem surreal. (Or, as the short put it, like Heaven)
So, we also saw the last Matrix movie. The ending was a little disappointing, but really, what could you expect? I think that clearing the sky was pretty much an impossibility. And I can't think of any other feasable possibility, either. But hey, the machines are no longer trying to kill the humans, so that's a step in the right direction! I think the movie really could have used more philosophy and less action, though. It felt sort of watered down compared to the previous 2 Matrix movies.
Overall, it was a nice weekend where I did nothing productive. :-)
