Last weekend and beginning of this week
Dec. 17th, 2003 04:02 pmMy weekend turned out to be pretty exciting. I originally had some plans for Saturday, but something unexpected came up and I was unable follow through with them. So I ended up going into the office instead and getting some work done. It turned out that afterward I was able to hook up with
randomzen for the evening. We bummed around the Springfield Mall for a bit then went back to his place to hang out, watch TV, and eat pizza. I think
xydexx is the one who put it best when he said, "People are as happy as they want to be."
I spent most of Sunday playing Jak 2, which totally kicks ass and is a great sequel to the original Jack and Daxter game for the PS2. Good cinemas, voice acting, and a couple of surprising revalations are making this game worth the $40 it is selling for.
Earlier today I visited my pawdiatrist (Dr. G) again, this time because my orthotics were causing me some pain and I was experiencing pain in my right foot (which had caused me no previous problems). One foot x-ray later, and we learned that my second metatarsal bone in the right foot is LONGER than my first metatarsal bone, which is probably causing the muscle pain I've been feeling. That was completely random and unexpected. Fortunately, this is treatable with modifications to my orthotics.
Speaking of my orthotics, Dr. G explained that the pain I had from the orthotics (mostly in the heels) can be treated by sending the orthotics back to the place that originally made them. It's free, but I won't get the orthotics back for a week, which is going to suck. He also explained that I should NOT peddle the exercise bike with my heels, because that can put stress on the mucles down there. So I'll have to try using the middle of the foot, which he said is safer.
That's it for now. Stay pronky!
