Snow snow snow!

We got a whopping 3 or so inches of snow last night and early this morning. Light powdery stuff that wasn't that difficult to deal with.

The really amusing thing was that on my commute in this morning, the Surekill Distressway, er, I mean the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) was not congested in the least. I did 60 Mph all the way in.

Yet, just about every other major highway in the region was jammed up with multiple accidents. I-476 had a jacknifed tractor trailer that was only letting traffic squeeze by on the shoulder. And US-202 had several accidents on it.

How'd I-76 get off so easy for a change? o.O

We got a few inches worth of the snow up here in Canada too. It made for some touchy bumper to bumper driving in the evening going to the night but seems to be okay this morning now that most of it is cleared up or plowed away or just driven over a lot.
I fortunately wasn't stuck much of anyplace either but then again I had nowhere to drive to.

I think part of it is that now you can get directly from 422 to 76 (thanks to the new interchange), accidents on 202 have less of an effect on 422 and 76.

I take 76 East to get into work. An accident on 202 wouldn't have caused a backup on it since 202 is to the West.
