Weekend and stuff
Feb. 18th, 2004 03:25 pmMy weekend was pretty uneventful. I spent Saturday at the office writing some code and spent Sunday back at my place doing a bunch of laundry and other chores.
Oh, Cray Fox and Taurin Fox now have a Live Journal. Their username is
thefoxes. Read their journal or you're a terrorist loving traitor, yeah!
Earlier today, I get another call on my cellphone asking for Scott, who hasn't had this phone number for over 2 years. People seriously need to keep their contact lists updated.
I also went through my calendar earlier today, and I've already got most of the weekends on March filled with various projects, and now April is starting to get filled up. If someone told me back when I was in high school that I was going to be doing all sorts of social activities on the weekends, I would not have believed them. :-)
I've been doing a bit of websurfing after hours the last couple of days, and I recently stumbled across The Fallout Bible. I'm a HUGE fan of the Fallout RPG and this bible is really cool! The guy who writes it works (worked?) for Interplay, the company that made fallout, and he goes into all sorts of detail about the story behind the game, stuff that went on in other vaults, and areas that didn't make it into the finished game. Very neat stuff.
I also found A Tribute to Soundwave page over on plumed-serpent.com. The author writes about how they liked the character of Soundwave from the G1 Transformers series and cites all sorts of examples from the show and the movies. He explains how Soundwave may have not been at the forefront of changing history like Megatron, Galvatron, etc. were, but he's just as important due to him being a rather permanent fixture in the Decepticon army.
And finally, I found this article over on CNN. A teen was visiting a missing children website on the net and found *himself* listed. Turns out that he was in custody of his father many years ago, and his mother abducted him. His mom has since been arrested, whoops!
That's all for now. Stay pronky.
