Fun financial stuff
Feb. 27th, 2004 09:32 pmI saw my financial advisor again yesterday. We made some more progress, in that we got me signed up for a Roth IRA as well as disability insurance. That's another $150/mo I'll be paying, but it'll be money well spent, especially if I ever slip on some ice or turn 65 and retire. :-) I also got a printed and bound review of my finances. It included things like my net worth, 401(k) distribution, and my expected retirement savings from age 65 to 100, so I can see how the dispersements would affect the overall worth, etc. Neat stuff.
I had a really bizarre dream last night... I dreampt that I had been pulled over by a police officer on City Avenue in Philly, arrested, and had the crap beaten out of me. I found it rather odd, because I've never been so much as stopped by a police officer before, let along arrested. And I don't know anyone who was ever beaten by a cop, either. Very strange.
Last night, I finally beat Grand Theft Auto 3, after playing it on and off for months. The ending was rather amusing. It's also interesting how your character does not speak throughout the game. He just listens and gestures.
No Friday Five for today. Oh, well.
I got a little sidetracked tonight and ended up spending some time answering support questions for Live Journal. It's very neat, in that I can commit as much or as little time as I want, and answer stuff that I know.
I've noticed some more improvement with my left foot. I did some tests at home last night. I discovered that I can jump up and down without pain. I can also do at least 30 jumping jacks without any pain. And when I go down flights of stairs, I can now place the ball of my left foot on the step first, like I used to do way back before I injured it. This is VERY welcome news after all the problems I've been through with my foot.
That's all for now. Stay furry.

Date: 2004-02-28 06:32 pm (UTC)...you haven't played Chronotrigger. Ok, this is an emergency. Everyone on the face of the human earth is required to have played Chronotrigger. Grab a copy of ZSNes (http://www.zsnes.com), and hunt yourself down a copy of Chronotrigger! Use emule (http://www.emule-project.net/) or suprnova (http://www.suprnova.org) or something.
Seriously o.o It's required gaming. You'll thank me.
