Ah, I'm all sober now. What a fun weekend that was. :-) Earlier on Saturday afternoon, we saw The Triplets of Belleville. It was an animated movie done in French, with a whopping 2 lines or so of dialogu. This made the movie more interesting since the story was told only through its actions and often the viewing had to guess what the motives of the characters were. See it NOW before the stuff in the movie makes its way around in various memes.

Other than that, in the morning we discussed some ideas on improving the Artists Alley workflow at AC and came up with some ideas to better schedule people more efficiently and in the afternoon we visited the comic store at the King of Prussia Mall. I picked up some Thundercats comics, and I saw that it looks like The Transformers is making a new run with the Generation 1 characters, so I picked up a few of them, too.

Sunday had Kage and I stuffing oh, about 300 envelopes of con registrations. So if you registered in the last month or so, your paper receipt is on its way. :-)

And now, some random articles I found over the last few days:

Five Geek Social Fallacies - A bit of "armchair psychology", this paper discusses some of the varying social fallacies that many people in the geek community seem to have. A lot of these behavours are also present in the furry community. I've had to deal with people who have had varying degrees of all 5 of them in my years in the furry community. (And I wouldn't be surprised to learn if I suffered from one or more of them, either)

Survival Guide for SLAPP Victims - This is essential reading in the event that you are ever sued by a company for complaining about their practices or something similar. It's written for the state of California, but it looks like a good deal of what's in it can apply to any jurisdiction.

The Ethics of Programming - A short paper about some of the ethical situations that programmers may find themselves in. Also presented are issues that relate to client stupidity. :-)

That's all the news for today, stay bouncy!
