Finally got a sofa
Oct. 14th, 2005 12:13 amThis is the sofa itself. It is a sectional. The right two thirds is one section, and the left third is another. The reason I went for a sectional was that I tried getting a bigger sofa in the past, and that didn't fit into the apartment. :-/
When getting the sofa in the main doors of the apartment building, the two guys needed to prop the doors open.
Here's a closeup of the trick they used. After they left, I examined the door hinge, and saw other marks in the wood, probably from this being used in previous deliveries to the building.
[Edit: Just to clarify, this is my first sofa. Which is why it's such a big thing for me. :-)]

Date: 2005-10-14 12:00 pm (UTC)I haven't seen the quarter trick used before. I tend to just use any convenient stick or small rock from outside for the same purpose.
