Bop back in time in 10 year leaps. What was happening in your life that year?

10 years ago: I was just starting business school. I lived with the parental units and worked as a dishwasher at a local country club on evenings and weekends. I wanted to research computer viruses for a living. I was a fanboy of Vesselin Bontchev.

20 years ago: School had just let out for the summer and I was getting ready to go into 4th grade, I think. I watched several hours of TV each day, including things like Thundercats, Transformers and MASK. I also rode my bike a lot and tried to avoid getting picked on by the other kids.

30 years ago: I was busy trying to claw my way out of my Mother's uterus. She was eating lots of seafood at the time, presumably too quiet me down.

40 years ago: I think my father had just joined the Air Force or was about to join.

Technology is a funny thing

When I tried to open up my trunk tonight, I was unable to. The lights would blink but nothing else happened. I tried the button inside of the car and had the same result. Nothing I could do would get the trunk opened, and I had groceries in there!

Then I remembered the key on my keychain, and used it to unlock the trunk manually.

It's funny how when you get some neat new toy (keyless entry), you can become dependent on it, and forget to do things the old way.
