gizaI saw my ENT this morning and he looked at the results of my CAT scan from last week. The cyst that showed up on my MRI? It's gone. Dr. S explained to me that it cysts can be temporary things, and this one was probably just some mucous that had built up in that sinus cavity.
As for the ringing in my right ear, that's gone down a bit and seems to be "coming and going". Dr. S told me that at this point in time, everything is physically okay with my ears and sinuses and that medical science has no explanation as to what's causing it. He said it could be a minor viral infection that caused one or more nerves to be inflamed. Most importantly, I'm not dying.
I'll probably see Dr. K next week for a followup, and see if there's anything else that can be done.

Date: 2006-03-06 05:30 pm (UTC)Hooray for the feeling better and the getting well and the not dying in the hospital sort of thing you know the doctors have this medicine and it comes in little pills and I have to take the pills over and over again so I understand what it's like to need medicine and all but I'm very glad that you are doing better and the not dying. You know, it would be embarrassing yes really embarrassing to die from a nasal condition. It's not like you had a twenty foot hemmeroid that strangled you when you were sleeping, though that would be kinda embarrassing too I bet. Can you imagine the tombstone - Here lies Giza, who died of a head cold. What an unfortunate way to be remembered. But you don't have to have a head stone or a head cold stone or even any kind of stone, unless you wanna like go smash the windows at the pharmacy and get lots of little pills before you go home. You know I take pills but my doctor says I'm not taking enough of them so if you grab some pills pick me up a few more while your at it. I'll share my coffee with you...
