Date: 2009-02-19 05:36 pm (UTC)Smiles for the Memories, smiles_4vt, is a group that I founded in honor of my friend Ross, and the 32 who were taken from us, on 4-16-07, at Virginia Tech. Furp's death resonates with me, because of Ross's. They were both terribly sudden.
We've just completed a donation in Ross's honor to Operation Smile,
www.operationsmile.org, which does cleft lip and palate repair for
children around the world. And just yesterday we received additional
funds. Then today, I heard about Furp, who was a good friend to many
of my good friends. So this week's donation from Smiles for the Memories
to Operation Smile is going out in honor of Patrick Reed, Furp. And
we will be asking Operation Smile to send the memorial card to Furp's
family, at the address you posted.
Thanks for passing the word for me, Peg aka Murrday

He truly will be missed.
