At least the cops in Haverford have a sense of humor

This was spotted recently by one of the other Save Ardmore Coalition folks:

I gotta give the Haverford cops some credit for having a sense of humor. And I think that makes for a nice deterrent, too.

absolutely amazing. A+++.

Idiot traffic designers in Miami LOVE to have some streets with stop signs every two blocks. Four-way stops, too, which means they are only there to slow traffic.

It is frustrating as hell to drive down one of these streets. I'm frequently doing rolling stops by the end of the series because it's so annoying.

Not to mention a waste of fuel and wear on the transmission and brakes.

So yeah, something like would likely annoy me more than make me laugh in that situation. :)

You obviously need to use public transit more.

Come to St. Louis. I promise you that it's a lot worse. :)

HAHAH I love this :-)

They're a bit under-worked, are they? :P

Local police departments here usually are, yes. For example, this (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Rome,_Ohio) fun little berg was about 10 miles from my house for most of my life, until actually being the subject of a state law designed to run them out of business about 5-6 years ago.

We are not amused. Then again, I have issues.

My campus is covered in signs that read something like "iTunes Song: $0.99, DMCA settlement: $4000. Illegal downloads aren't worth it."
Who knows if this sort of campaign does any good, but I guess it is entertaining :P

hahaha very nice. I see Mr.Pirate there is using a Mac to d/l his daily dose of communism, which is funny because Apple is possibly one of the finest examples of capitalism today :P

AWESOME. I download communism every day, then.

In Soviet Russia, MP3 pirates YOU!!!

People in Quebec call it an "American stop". Which is funny, since they drive just as bad up there as anywhere I've seen.

(See also: "California stop", "New York stop"...)

At least I'd have a sign like this to point to when I actually STOP and the person behind me doesn't want me to. :o)

[identity profile] wally-wabbit.livejournal.com 2008-12-23 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
A bit further up the road from me in Bridgewater (small rural town) I did notice a similar sign under a stop sign that read "Report Agressive Driving (203) XXX-XXXX. It was official.

[identity profile] boixboi.livejournal.com 2008-12-23 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
As somebody who is usually a pedestrian, I am totally in love with this sign.

[identity profile] xshengx.livejournal.com 2008-12-23 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
OH REALLY. You can't stop a fox completely when she's in a hurry! :P
Eheheheh.
